Shea Terra Organics Cape Aloe Topical Healing Gel: Your Skin's Best Friend

After basking in the sun all day, your skin needs nourishment to stay soft and moisturized.   If you have a nasty sunburn, I highly recommend Shea Terra Organics' Cape Aloe Topical Healing Gel.  A sample bottle was waiting for me when I got back from my vacation to Hawaii and Miami.  Needless to say, I got a major tan from hanging out at the beaches every day, so this healing gel came at just the right time.

Cape Aloe is a plant that is related to aloe vera, but contains several times the amount of aloin as aloe vera.  It also requires no fertilizers or pesticides and is sustainably harvested.  The outer leaves of Cape Aloe contain the healing jelly that is used to work miracles on the skin.  Whether it's a rash, acne, or sunburn, this topical gel will help stop the pain and inflammation.

I've been using this on my skin ever since I came back from vacation and I haven't had to use so much moisturizer or lotion.  It's a great alternative to sunscreen, since I don't use sunscreen at all.  If you're wondering why, I recommend reading this article on sunscreen dangers.

The Cape Aloe Topical Healing Gel has a distinct smell that is very familiar, but I can't seem to pinpoint exactly what it is. What comes to mind is grapefruit for some reason. It doesn't smell bad at all, though, and once you apply it to the skin, the scent goes away.

Ingredients include:  99% Cape Aloe, xanthum gum (natural thickener), potassium sorbate (mild preservative), and sodium benzoate (mild preservative).

Why Have a Spa Day?

Spa Day
As I get older, I'm realizing just how important it is to take some time out for myself to just relax and have fun. It's taken awhile to get used to because for so many years I have been always on the go and keeping busy. Little did I know how all that wear and tear on my body has affected my health and how old I look. Now I've incorporated spa days as a way for my mind, body, and soul to reconnect. I always leave refreshed and re-energized.

Spas are abundant in just about every city in the world. It's the universal way to leave the hustle and bustle of the busy world and relax. If you're doing a search for "spa deals London", you've probably heard of The Sanctuary which caters exclusively to women. You can treat yourself or give gift vouchers to someone you know who you think really needs a day at the spa :)

When I used to think of spa days, I pictured just getting a message and that's it. However, the spa experience is so much more than that. Spas offer so many different amenities and services such as sauna rooms, rooms to just sit and relax with a book while sipping on refreshments and snacks, facials, jacuzzi spas, and more. How can you deprive yourself of these luxuries?

So many people have this perception that going to the spa is just something that superficial rich people do for fun. Believe me, you don't have to be rich or "privileged" to enjoy a spa day. There are so many physical and psychological benefits of going to the spa including detox, stress management, and healthy skin. If I was a doctor, I would prescribe going to the spa at least twice a month rather than giving patients pills with all those crazy side effects.

If going to the spa and being touched by people doesn't sound too appealing, then why not just create the spa experience at home? Buy yourself a nice, fluffy towel, your favorite beauty products, some nice bath salts, and just relax at home...

I think my next vacation adventure will be a destination spa resort where I can stay for a few days and enjoy the full experience of being pampered and doing fun things that promote health and wellness. Now that's my idea of a real vacation. This will help me get my creative mojo back!
